ADC ADJUSTMENT
Outline
ADC means "analog/digital converter."
By adjusting ADC, the best input signal level is obtained. To maintain the best picture quality, make sure to adjust ADC after re-
placing the following parts for repair.

Adjustment procedure
RGB adjustment
1. Connect the signal generator to the projector.
2. Input the adjustment signal (white / black, No. 29).
3. Turn on the power of the projector.
4. Hold down the [

er to display the picture shown on the right.
5. Press the [

] button to adjust RGB.
YUV adjustment
6. Change the adjustment signal to "SMPTE (white, No.30)."
7. Press the [

] button to adjust YUV.

The pure red is displayed with a tinge of pink or orange, adjust the timing of the C/W segment (R, G, B, and W) and that of the
DMD driving signal.
•
Carry out this adjustment only when the optical unit or color wheel ASSY is replaced.
•
Perform at least 4-hour aging after the completion of this adjustment.

Adjustment procedure
1. Connect the projector and the PC using the VGA cable.
2. Connect the power cord to the projector.
Make sure that the POWER indicator illuminates red.
3. Start the PC and copy the “DLP Composer (TM) Lite” folder onto the desktop.
4. Double-click “SVGA_WRGB_64scale” or “XGA_WRGB_64scale” in the “DLP
Composer (TM) Lite” folder to display the adjustment signal.
5. Turn on the power of the projector.
6. Display the IMAGE menu.
7. Set the following items for the picture quality.
CONTRAST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .0
BRIGHTNESS . . . . . . . . . . . . .0
COLOR TEMP . . . .STANDARD
8. Hold down the [
