After the socket is fully actuated from procedures in Fig 25 to 27 (component on left), the heatsink 
(bottom side shown 

–

component on right) can then be installed on top of the CPU Package lid by 

securing the four captive screws on the heatsink base to the four PEM nuts on the Stiffener Frame 
(shown in red circles above).   
 
The screw and PEM nuts are located asymmetrically so that the heatsink can be installed in the correct 
orientation only. The heatsink uses the same Torx T20 head screws as the Socket Actuation 
Mechanism.
