Load the proper size of paper within the guides. The stack of
paper that is loaded onto the tray should not exceed the maximum
level indicator (see illustration).

Note

• Place paper of sizes of A4, Letter or smaller lengthwise into the tray

(so that the short edge of the paper faces the outer edge of the tray).
Place custom size paper and envelopes widthwise into the tray.

• Envelopes should be placed so that the flap is facing down and toward

the inside of the tray. Make sure that all flaps are folded correctly (see
page 3-45).

• A B5 envelope must be placed so that its flap is facing down and

toward the right of the tray.
