Pages are too dark The toner cartridge is damaged. Remove the toner cartridge and
check it for damage. If
necessary, replace the toner
cartridge. (See chapter 10.)
The toner density is not set
correctly in the printer driver. Set the toner density to the
desired level. (See chapter 4.)
Blurred
background The toner cartridge is damaged. Remove the toner cartridge and
check it for damage. If
necessary, replace the toner
cartridge. (See chapter 10.)
Uneven toner
density
The toner cartridge is damaged. Remove the toner cartridge and
check it for damage. If
necessary, replace the toner
cartridge. (See chapter 10.)
The drum cartridge is damaged. Remove the toner cartridge and
check it for damage. If
necessary, replace the drum
cartridge. (See chapter 10.)
The toner may be unevenly
distributed inside the toner
cartridge. Remove the toner cartridge and
rock it in order to improve the
distribution of the remaining
toner. If the problem persists,
replace the toner cartridge. (See
chapter 10.)
Blank spots, text
missing
The paper is moist because of
high humidity in the air or from
being splashed with water. Replace the paper you are using
with dry paper and try printing
again.
