5. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
5.1. BEFORE USE: CONNECTION TO POWER SUPPLY AND USE OF THE BATTERIES
Parents’ unit:
The parents’ unit of this baby monitor is designed to work with the AC/DC adapters or batteries
included. It includes 2 rechargeable batteries x AAA 1.2V 800mAh Ni-MH for the parents’ unit.
We recommend the use of the batteries in the parents’ unit in order to be able to hear the baby
unit anywhere (within the appliance’s coverage radius).
The rechargeable batteries must be charged for at least 16 hours before using them for the first
time or if they haven’t been used for some time.
Put the baby unit at the charger base (14) where possible to always keep the batteries charged.
- Take off the battery compartment cover (13) at the rear of the parent unit, pressing and sliding it
downwards. Insert the rechargeable batteries following the polarity marked on the unit itself and
closing the cover (Figure 4).
- Place the parent unit at the charger base (14) (Figure 5).
- Plug the adapter in at the mains. The on and charging LED (9) will flash green when charging.
The LED comes on green when the charging is complete.
Baby unit:
The baby unit is designed to work with the AC/DC adapter included or with non-rechargeable
alkaline batteries which are not included. The batteries are used in order to be able to use the
baby unit in the event of a power cut.
- Connect the adapter to the base of the baby unit (Figure 6).
- Connect the adapter to a power outlet.
If you wish to use the baby unit with batteries, take off the compartment cover (20), unscrewing
it first and insert 4 alkaline batteries AAA 1.5V (not included) and close it again (Figure 7).
NOTE:
Rechargeable batteries must not be used at the baby unit.
5.2. OPERATION
Turning on the units:
· Parents’ unit: press the on/off button (1) for two seconds. The on and charging LED (9) will be
green.
· Baby unit: press the on/off button (18) for two seconds. The on indicator/nightlight (17) will be
green.
Once you have prepared your baby monitor, you can listen to the sounds captured in your baby’s
room via the parents’ unit. You can also observe how the LED sound indicators flash: when the
sound captured is low, only the first of the LEDs (10) will flash, but when the sound captured is
loud, both LEDs (10 and 11) will flash red.
