Operation:
During the normal operating mode of the baby monitor (LOW), the baby unit periodically sends
a beacon signal to the parents’ unit, informing them that it is connected and working even if the
baby unit does not detect any sound.
However, it is possible to select the ZERO operating mode in which this beacon signal will not be
transmitted, managing to avoid any emission whilst the baby monitor is idle. When the baby unit
does not detect any sound in the surroundings, this will be an environment with zero emissions
in which the baby monitor will not emit any radiation.
When the baby unit detects a sound above the VOX sensitivity threshold selected, it will start
transmitting a signal which will be received by the parents’ unit with a view to establishing
communication between both units. This process will last less than one second.
From this time onwards the parents’ unit will retransmit the sounds captured by the baby unit.
NOTE: Out of range Indicator
Owing to the fact that the baby unit does not transmit the periodic beacon signal when the
“ZERO” mode has been selected, the parents’ unit is unable to detect whether it is within
the coverage radius or not. Hence, it is possible for the parents’ unit to be out of the range
of the baby unit without the parents being aware thereof.
It is recommended to use this operating mode when the parents’ unit is situated in a fixed
place where it has first been checked that the coverage is correct such as the bedside
table. It can also be used by moving the parents’ unit provided that it has first been
checked that the coverage is correct throughout the displacement radius.
NOTE: Temperature indicator in ZERO mode.
In this mode, there is no connection between the two units because no beacon signal is
sent. Due to this, the parent unit is not able to display the temperature of the baby unit
in real time.
Therefore, when the ZERO mode is selected, the parent unit will show the word ECO in the
display instead of the temperature.
2) Normal operating or low radiation mode (LOW)
Adjustment:
Check that the charging and on LED indicator (9) is lit up orange as this means that the baby
monitor is configured in ZERO mode (if it is lit up green, nothing would need to be done as the
baby monitor would already be configured in LOW mode). Press the button (16) at the baby unit
for at least 5 seconds to enable the LOW mode. While pressing the button a beep that will cease
in a few seconds will be heard. Finally you will see that the LED (9) turns from orange to green,
indicating that the LOW mode is active.
Operation:
As stated above, during the normal operating mode of the baby monitor (LOW), the baby unit
periodically sends a beacon signal to the parents’ unit, informing them that it is connected and
working even if the baby unit does not detect any sound. This signal lasts for 1 second and is
emitted 4 times every 20 seconds. If the parents’ unit receives this signal, the charging and on
LED indicator (4) remains lit up green to indicate that the unit falls within the coverage radius.
Otherwise, if the parents’ unit is incapable of receiving the beacon signal after 20 seconds, the
charging and on LED indicator (4) will flash red and green alternatively, emitting a beep with
three tones as a warning.
By selecting the “LOW” mode, a continuous low power connection is established between the
parents’ unit and the baby unit meaning that the delay in the connection indicated for the “ZERO”
mode is not produced when the baby unit detects a sound whilst idle.
