Check the hardware version number corresponds to the MinePhones being upgraded. The firmware and
resource binary files will be downloaded to the phone if the version and file name information is different
to what is currently installed.

4.4 Configuration Files

There are several types of Minephone configuration files (as shown in Figure 2) that reside in the TFTP
server root directory:

•

change.txt

— A text file that tells the phones if there are updates to current settings that need to be

applied. This file must be present even if there are no changes. If the information contained in the file
indicates changes in the settings or phone contacts, it will download the configuration files and apply
them to the phone. If there are no changes, the phone will not download the files.

•

miphone_site_setting.conf

— A configuration file containing global settings that are applied to all

MinePhones in the network.

•

miphone_site_phonebook.conf

— A configuration file containing contact details to update contacts

to all MinePhones in the network.

•

miphone_xxxxxxxxxxxxx.conf

— A configuration file containing phone settings for a specific handset.

It is identified by phone's MAC address (xxxxxxxxxxxxx) in the file name.
