Making Power Connections To A Maxstar 91 Or 152 Welding Power Source

Terminal Strip TE1

Strain Relief Connector

Snap-In Blank
Remove wrapper. Disconnect input
power cord leads from TE1 and
ground terminal on case.
Remove power cord and strain re-
lief connector, and install supplied
snap-in blank into power cord hole.

Accessory Harness Recep-
tacle

Power Supply Ground Lead

Other Ground Leads
Locate accessory harness recep-
tacle (supplied loose) with leads at-
tached. Connect lead 16 to terminal
F on TE1. Connect lead 17 to termi-
nal E. Connect lead 42 to ground
terminal on case bottom below
Work (+) weld output terminal as
shown.

Bushing
Remove blank and install bushing
into hole. Be sure jumper links are
installed for correct input power
(see Section 3-7).
Reinstall wrapper, routing accesso-
ry harness receptacle through
bushing.

Welding Power Source

Snap-In Blank
Remove wrapper. Remove blank
and install supplied bushing into
hole.
10 Control Relay CR1
11 Plug PLG11
12 Protective Blank
Locate PLG11 in lead bundle near
control relay CR1. Remove cable
tie if needed. Remove blank from
PLG11.
Position welding power source
above HF unit, and route accessory
harness receptacle through bush-
ing in welding power source case
bottom.
Connect plug PLG11 to accessory
harness receptacle. Use cable ties
to secure leads so leads are away
from fan blade.
Reinstall wrapper, and install
mounting brackets (see Section
3-9).
