Danger of burning due to hot
surfaces.
The cooktop surface, grates, and
burners will be hot after use.
Allow the cooktop to cool down be-
fore cleaning it.
Risk of damage due to moisture
ingress.
The steam from a steam cleaning ap-
pliance could reach electrical com-
ponents and cause a short circuit.
Do not use a steam cleaner to clean
the cooktop.
All surfaces could be discolored or
damaged if unsuitable cleaning
agents are used. All surfaces are
susceptible to scratching.
Remove all cleaning agent residues
immediately.
Do not clean with any abrasive or
sharp pointed objects.
Food boiling over can cause discol-
oration of the burner components.
Remove any soiling and salt and
sugar splashes immediately.
Pressing the knob generates a spark
on the ignitor. Do not press the knob
while you are cleaning or touching
the cooktop or a burner in the vicinity
of an ignitor.
Unsuitable cleaning agents
To avoid damaging the surfaces of the
appliance, do not use:
- cleaning agents containing soda, al-
kalines, ammonia, acids, or chlorides,
- cleaning agents containing lime scale
remover
- stain or rust removers
- abrasive cleaning agents, such as
scouring powder, scouring liquid, or
pumice stones
- cleaning agents containing solvents
- dishwasher cleaner
- grill and oven sprays
- glass cleaners
- hard, abrasive brushes or sponges
(e.g., pot scourers), or sponges which
have been previously used and still
contain abrasive cleaning agents
- eraser sponges
