Hob controls
The cooking zones are controlled by
heat regulators.
Only turn the cooking zone control
as far as it will go in a clockwise
direction and back again. Turning
the control any other way could
damage it.
The display for the cooking zone lights
up when the cooking zone is switched
on. The colour of the display will
deepen from a light shade for a low set-
ting to a red for the highest setting
The cooking zone controls are fitted
with an
"Auto heat-up" feature
. This is
activated when the cooking zones are
switched on. After reaching an initial
high temperature the "Auto heat-up" fea-
ture automatically switches to the con-
tinuation setting choosen, and the heat
is lowered accordingly, without the
need for manual intervention.
The length of the "Auto heat-up" time
depends on the setting selected.
Different heat-up times have been pro-
grammed for settings 1 – 7 (for boiling)
and 8 – 12 (for frying).
The "Auto heat-up" period increases in
step with settings 1 – 7; from 8 – 12
however the times are shorter.
If the setting within range 1 – 7 is al-
tered during the "Auto heat-up" period
the period will lengthen accordingly.
If you wish you can
turn "Auto heat-
up"
off:
Turn the cooking zone control to a
setting.
The setting must be higher than the
one required.
After 10 seconds turn the control to
the setting required.
The "Auto heat-up" is now inactivated.
For cookers and control units with a
clock timer
When the two front zones are being
used for cooking they can be switched
on or off automatically independently of
each other.
