dirt
Effect
Action
The following substances can cause
excessive foaming during washing and
rinsing:
– treatment agents such as disinfection
agents, rinsing agents, etc.
– foaming substances in general, for
instance tensides.
– First rinse the load with a sufficient
quantity of water.
– Select a wash program with one or
more short pre-rinses with cold or
warm water.
The following substances can cause
corrosion of the stainless steel in the
wash compartment and accessories:
– hydrochloric acid,
– other substances that contain
chloride, e.g. sodium chloride, etc.
– concentrated sulphuric acid,
– chromic acid,
– iron particles.
– First rinse the load with a sufficient
quantity of water.
– Let the load drip dry before putting it
on the mobile units, baskets and
inserts and placing them in the wash
compartment.
reactions between processing chemicals and dirt
Effect
Action
In combination with alkaline processing
chemicals, loads with soiling that
contains proteins, e.g. blood, can
cause excessive foaming.
– Select a wash program with one or
more short pre-rinses with cold
water.
In combination with very acidic or
alkaline processing chemicals, base
metals such as aluminum, magnesium
and zinc can release hydrogen
(explosive oxyhydrogen gas reactions).
– Observe the instructions of the
manufacturer of the processing
chemicals.
