Unscrew the screws at the bottom of the back panel and remove
the panel.
Loosen the hexagonal screws to remove the transport safety
devices.
Retain the transport safety devices. They need to be refitted should
the machine ever need to be moved again.
Water connection
Water pressure (flow pressure) of a minimum 100 kPa (1 bar) /
maximum 1000 kPa (10 bar) is required to guarantee problem-free
programme operation.
The machine must be connected to the water supply using the inlet
hoses provided.
Hoses must be replaced with hoses tested for a burst pressure of at
least 7000 kPa (70 bar) overpressure and for water temperatures of a
minimum of 90 °C.
This also applies for associated connection fittings. Miele original
spare parts fulfil these requirements.
Useful tip:
The hot water supply must not exceed a maximum
temperature of 70 °C.
This appliance must be connected to the water supply in strict
accordance with local and national requirements (e.g. Plumbing Code
of Australia (PCA)).
This appliance must be installed according to AS/NZS 3500.1 and
AS/NZS 3500.2. This washing machine has been supplied with a
separate backflow prevention device (dual check valve).
The dual check valve supplied separately with this product must be
installed between the tap and the water inlet hose. Screw the dual
check valve onto the tap. Then screw the water inlet hose onto the
thread of the dual check valve, or screw the Y-piece, followed by the
water inlet hoses to the dual check valve if connecting two hoses to
the same tap.
Turn on the tap gradually to test for leaks. If there is a leak, the
connection might not be on securely, or it may have been screwed on
at an angle. Unscrew and reconnect the water correctly before
tightening it.
