Option 5 Digital boards
Refer to the option 5 flowchart on page 40.
This option allows you to set up the clock source, SRC and word size for any digital I/O
boards fitted in the unit. If there no digital I/O boards fitted, this option does not
appear. This option has three boards to choose from, A, B and C, with each one
representing the module slot positions printed on the rear panel. You can select
channel pairs 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 or 7-8 for both the clock source and word size options. The
sample rate conversion (SRC) option gives an input or output choice for each channel
pair.
To set up the clock source for the digital outputs

Enter the main menu and go to option 5,
as shown in diagram left; see “To enter the
main menu and select an option” on page 42.

Press MENU to go to the “Select Board”
options (default is “A”).

Use the down arrow button to go the board
you require, for example, “C”.

Press SELECT to go to the “Dig. IO
settings” options (default is “Clock
Setup(out)”).

Press SELECT to go to the “Select
Channels” options (default is “Channels 1-2”).

Use the down arrow button to go the pair
of channels you require, for example, “Channels
7-8”.

Press SELECT to go to the “Clock source”
options (default is “From Inputs”).

Use the down arrow button to go the clock
source you require, for example, “48K”.

Press SELECT to select this option and
save the setting. The display will show the
“Saving new setting” message and then go back
to the “Clock source/From Inputs” display.
10
Use the MENU button to exit.
