When an error occurs, a corresponding error message is displayed
in the control panel.
Please address the problems described in section 6.1 up to 6.3
yourself, especially the consumable replacement.
Only a MICROPLEX authorized operator or service engineer should
address printer problems for which no detailed remedies are given
in the following pages.
When reporting a problem to your service engineer, please give him
the exact error message. That helps to localize the error more
quickly.
Use only appropriate paper. Inappropriate paper may cause
damage to your printer. In particular, you should not use:
transparencies, kinked or curled paper, paper which is too thick and
paper with any staples or pins in it.
Unclear printouts (some parts unable to print) may be caused by
dusty media or a stained print head.
Therefore when printing, it’s necessary to keep all printer covers
closed.
Also, check and prevent media from being stained or dusty to ensure
print quality and to prolong the print head life.
In addition please often check the paper clearing sheet (see section
5.1 Tearing Paper Cleaning Sheet).
Clear paper jams promptly. See section 6.3 Paper Jam.
To avoid further problems, attend to all paper jams and any other
cause of printer failure promptly.
