The EXL1000 battery cabinets are equipped with a “shunt
trip” mechanism that will open the battery circuit breaker
remotely and break the DC power from the battery cabinet
to the UPS. This is done by applying 24Vdc or 24Vac
across the XR3 emergency off terminal blocks 1 and 4.

NOTE
If the EXL 1000 UPS was not facory configured for the additional
battery cabinets, the new configuration must be set by an MGE UPS
Systems After-Sales Support technician.
