The procedure to follow in the electrical installation of the
extended battery cabinet with conduit cables is as follows:
• Connect conduit fitting on one end of conduit cable
landing on UPS. (figure 1-4).
• With a flat blade screw driver connect red tape marked
wire to battery (+) positive terminal block.
• With flat blade screw driver connect unmarked wire to
battery (-) negative terminal block.
• With flat blade screw driver connect green/yellow wire
to ground yellow/green terminal block.
• Repeat these procedures on battery cabinet end.
• Replace conduit landing plates on UPS and battery
cabinet.
• Turn on battery cabinet circuit breaker and UPS battery
circuit breaker.
• On UPS switch maintenance bypass switch to
NORMAL position and press green button on front of
UPS to transfer load back from bypass to UPS inverter.
