Manufacture conduit cable to connect battery cabinet to
UPS.
Procedure for preparing the conduit cable:
• Cut conduit to length.
• Cut black and green/yellow wires to length. Wire
lengths should be equal and 1 foot longer that cut
conduit.
• Mark one black wire on both ends with red tape to
identify this wire as the positive battery lead wire.
(figure 1-3)
• Leave the other wire unmarked, and this will identify
this wire as the negative battery lead wire.
• Run black and green wires through conduit. Wires
should extend approximately 6 inches out of
conduit.
• Fasten conduit fittings at both ends of conduit.
• Strip wire ends 1/2 inch.
