• Check the oil level.
5.5. Daily checks before putting into operation
5.5.1. Checking for completeness and damage
NOTE
If any external damage is visible, do not put the power generator into operation!
• Keep the supply and exhaust air openings clear.
• Keep the power generator clean inside and out. Oil and dirt endanger operational readiness.
• Check the power generator for rust and paint damage.
Touch up paint damage immediately.
• Check the power generator for loose or missing parts.
• There must be no objects lying on the power generator.
• Check the power generator for leaks.
Immediately repair the power generator if there are any leaks.
5.5.2. Checking the oil level in the engine
NOTE
The level must not drop below the “MIN” marking. This would result in engine damage.
• Turn off the engine.
• Allow the engine to cool down for at least 5 minutes.
• The power generator must be horizontally positioned.
• Pull out the dipstick (21-3).
• Wipe the dipstick off with clean lint free cloth.
• Insert the dipstick into the oil filler neck again, then take it out to check the oil level
• If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark on the dipstick, top the engine up with oil
until the level reaches the upper limit mark (bottom edge of the oil filler neck). Do not overfill.

5.5.3. Checking the fuel level
The fuel level can be checked at the fuel gauge (20-17) or at the engine controls (22-2).
