Starting Machine Operation
1. Once you have followed the Startup Procedure outlined above, increase the throttle to
approximately 80%-90% of the maximum RPM.
NOTE: The machine should never be in operation with the throttle set less than 75%.
2. To start paving in the forward direction, push the drive & slinger joysticks to the forward
position. The further forward you push, the faster the machine & slinger tube will move.
NOTE: If you release the drive lever, the machine will spring-return to the neutral
position. If you release the slinger lever, it will maintain its rotation.
3. To start paving in the reverse direction, pull the drive & slinger levers down to the
reverse position. The further back you pull, the faster the machine & slinger tube will
move.
NOTE: The forward position of the slinger joystick will move the tube counterclockwise.
In order to make the drive and slinger tubes spin in the same direction, one lever needs
to be up while the other is down.
4. To operate the steering leg to steer the machine, push the
LEFT button on the drive joystick until the machine lifts off
the forms or paving surface and continue to travel in the
direction of correction. Once the machine is straightened
out, press the RIGHT button on the drive joystick until the
machine is back onto the formwork or paving surface.
NOTE: When the steering leg is fully retracted the
STEERING LEG MIN/MAX light will turn on for a few
seconds. As a safety precaution when the machine is in
motion the steering leg functionality is disabled.
ALWAYS be aware of obstructions below the kickstand foot
when operating the kickstand cylinder. When lowering the unit
be sure all people and body parts are clear of the machine.
Stopping the Machine
1. To stop the machine, let go of the drive lever and return the slinger lever to the neutral
position.
2. To shut the machine down, turn the key to the OFF position.
NOTE: In an emergency you can simply turn the key off to stop the machine and
engine.
