4.1.1.6 SFP Details
The SFP details display item shows the diagnostic details from the SFP as shown
below:
The display shows the type, manufacturer, part number and transmit wavelength of
the SFP with the values read from the SFP on-board EEPROM.
The diagnostic values of power, bias, temp and supply are read from the diagnostic
module within the SFP and give a real time indication of the values. Each value will
be declared OK when operating normally.
OK
Normal Operation
Warning
Levels have dropped but are not yet service affecting. A
warning could be an indication of a failing device, or maybe that
the fibre simply needs cleaning.
Alarm
Levels have dropped outside the acceptable operating range
and service will be affected. This could indicate faulty device,
cleaning of the fibre is needed, or that the loss budget has been
exceeded.
