The tester manual mode gives low-level access to the SAM functions. Its use is
generally not recommended (see section 10.3.1), as the test regimes offer a number
of advantages. If, however, it is used, a regime test should be run first, then the
switch made to manual mode. The SAM configuration from the regime test will be
preserved and act as a starting point. The alternative (setting all the manual mode
parameters by hand) is definitely not recommended.
With the manual mode function selected, the SAM tester menu simply contains a link
to the manual mode setup menu.

The manual mode menu is shown below:

The menu reports the current test state and allows the test to be started or stopped.
The test duration (in seconds) can be viewed and set. A test progress screen can be
displayed (see section 14.2.6.10).

The frame content menu contains all the setup items that affect exactly what data is
sent.
