4.2.4 Network
General
This section is for users to set detailed settings related to wired network condition for the camera.

Basic Settings
•
Device Name: Input your preferred name for the camera..
•
HTTP Port: This protocol allows for TCP protocol quality without having to open specific ports for streaming. Users inside
a firewall can utilize this protocol to allow streaming data through. It is recommended to use the default port number 80;
however, if it is required to change the port number, please contact your system administrator with options ranging from
1025 to 65535.
•
Enable LDAP: For accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol network,
the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), an open, vendor-neutral, industry standard application protocol, have a
major role in both intranet and internet applications to facilitate information sharing between devices.

View Current Network Settings: Click “View” to see your current network related settings.

IP Settings

Mode

Manual: User can manually input IP address and the related settings.

PPPoE: This is a point-to-point based protocol which offers authentication, encryption and compression. It
predominantly authenticates user with the predefined username and password.

DHCP: If enabled, the camera will automatically obtain an available dynamic IP address from the DHCP server
each time it connects to the LAN.
•
IPv4 Address: To manually set an IP address under IPv4.
•
IPv4 Subnet Mask: Please use default address: 255.255.255.0. If subnet mask is not properly configured, the unit may not be
able to communicate with other devices.
•
IPv4 Default Gateway: Leave blank as default setting. No Default Gateway address required if not used. Ask your network
administrator for further information.
