2. Screw the fill cap/dipstick completely into the power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Remove the fill cap/dipstick from the reservoir and observe the fluid level.
•
If the fluid level is within range
a
, no fluid should be added.
•
If the fluid level is within range
b
, fluid may be added but should not exceed the maximum level in range
a
.
•
If the oil level is within range
c
, fluid must be added. There is sufficient fluid when the fluid level is within range
b
.
NOTE: If high steering loads are going to be encountered for a prolonged period of operation (10–12 hours), the fluid
level should be at least in the middle of the min/max markings of the dipstick.
a -
No fluid required
b -
Oil may be added, but do not exceed above range

Engine Coolant
!
CAUTION
A sudden loss of pressure can cause hot coolant to boil and discharge violently resulting in serious injury from burns. Allow
the engine to cool down before removing the coolant pressure cap.
a -
Coolant minimum level ("min" mark)
b -
Coolant maximum level
For proper engine operation, the coolant must always be maintained at the correct level within the closed‑cooling system. With
the engine cold, the level should always be between the minimum and maximum level marks on the coolant expansion tank.
The coolant level is monitored by a sensor. The display window on the tachometer will warn the user of a low coolant level
condition. An audible warning will also sound. A visual inspection of the coolant level within the coolant expansion tank should
be performed regularly.
