Apply brake to
deselect P
Park (P) position
You have attempted to move the transmission selector lever to
position D, R or N without depressing the brake pedal.

Depress the brake pedal.
Apply brake
and start engine
to disengage P
When the engine is switched off, it is not possible to shift out of
park position P.

Depress the brake pedal and start the engine.
Start engine
to engage gear The gear cannot be engaged when the engine is switched off.

Depress the brake pedal and start the engine.
Depress brake
to start engine
You cannot start the engine. The engine was switched off in posi-
tion D or R.

Depress the brake pedal and start the engine.
Vehicle
not in position P
The driver's door is open and the transmission is in position R, N
or D.
A warning tone also sounds.

Shift the transmission to P using the button on the centre con-
sole.

Press the electric parking brake handle.
Without changing

You cannot change gear due to a malfunction.
If transmission position D is selected:

Do not switch off the engine.

Drive to a qualified specialist workshop without shifting the
transmission from position D.
If transmission position R, N or P is selected:

Make sure that the electric parking brake is applied.

Prevent the vehicle from rolling away before you leave it
