The exhaust system of a diesel engine with AdBlue

consists of:

• Oxidation catalytic converter
• Diesel particulate filter
• SCR catalytic converter
• AdBlue

metering valve

• NO

sensors upstream and downstream of SCR

catalytic converter

• One rear muffler in each pipe

The NO

sensors upstream and downstream of the

SCR catalytic converter measure the NO

concen-

tration in the exhaust gas and regulate the dosage
of the AdBlue

reducing agent.
