MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Never immerse the kettle, the power cord or
plug in water or any other liquid.
NOTE:
Pull out the plug from the power point and
allow the kettle to cool completely before
cleaning.
DESCALING
• Clean and descale the kettle regularly for
best functionality.
• Follow the instructions of the
manufacturer if you are using a special
descaling agent.
1. Pour 7.5 dl of vinegar into the jug, fill with
water to the MAX mark and leave to stand
overnight. Do not boil the mixture.
2. Pour out the mixture. Remove any stains
with a damp cloth.
3. Fill the jug with water to the MAX mark,
boil up, and pour out the water. Repeat.
CLEANING
NOTE:
Do not use abrasive detergents or
implements on the jug or kettle, this can
scratch the surface.
1. Wipe the surface of the kettle with a soft
cloth, moistened with a mild detergent.
2. Clean the filter regularly with a soft cloth.
INTENDED USE
• The kettle is intended to be used to boil
water.
• The kettle is intended for household use,
or for use in staff rooms, hotel rooms or
other similar places.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using for the first time, or if the kettle
has not been used for a long time.
1. Fill the jug to the MAX mark and follow
the instructions to boil water in Use.
2. Pour out the water, and repeat.
3. Wipe the kettle with a damp cloth.
USE
1. Lift the kettle off the base.
2. Press the lock button to open the lid.
3. Fill with water and close the lid.
4. Put the jug on the base.
5. Plug the plug into an earthed power point.
6. Move the power switch to position I. The
status light in the power switch goes on
and the water starts to be boiled.
7. The kettle switches off automatically and
the status light goes off when the water
has boiled.
8. Lift the kettle off the base and pour out
the water.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
• The boil-dry protection prevents the kettle
from starting when there is no water in
the jug.
• If the boil-dry protection trips, allow the
kettle to cool, fill up with cold water and
switch on again.
