4.1

General

MENMON is the CPU board firmware that is invoked when the system is powered
on.

The basic tasks of MENMON are:

• Initialize the CPU and its peripherals.

• Load the FPGA code (if applicable).

• PCI auto configuration.

• Perform self-test.

• Provide debug/diagnostic features on MENMON command line.

• Interaction with the user via touch panel/TFT display (if supported by FPGA).

• Boot operating system.

• Update firmware or operating system.

Not supported by standard A14C!
