Degraded Minutes/Degraded Minutes Percent
Degraded minutes is a count of 60s blocks in which the bit error rate is
greater than 1E-6. Each block of 60 seconds is derived from the test time
by removing all available seconds and severely error seconds and then
grouping the remaining seconds consecutively into blocks of 60.
The degraded minutes percent is degraded minutes/available minutes X
100.
Severely Error Seconds/Severely Error Seconds Percent
Severely error seconds is the count of available seconds where the bit
error rate is worse than 1E-3. The available seconds can also be referred
to as non-severely error seconds.
Percent severely error seconds is the ratio of severely error seconds to
the number of available seconds.
Error Seconds/Error Free Seconds
The error seconds parameter is a one second interval of an available
second where one or more bit errors have occurred.
The error free seconds parameter is a one second interval of an
available second where no bit errors have occurred.
RX Status LEDs
The RX STATUS LEDs provide a visual indication of alarm conditions.
The corresponding history LEDs provide a visual indication of the
history of an alarm condition. Status LEDs include:

TS/Channel Data Bits & Signaling Bits
When the BERT-20E1 has achieved frame synchronization, the green
FRAME SYNC framing LED, under the RX STATUS section, illuminates.
For further analysis, the BERT-20E1 provides the ability to view the state
of DATA BITS and SIGNALING BITS and the ability to select a desired
time slot or channel.
