Fitting the grass blade
NOTE:
Remember to remove the guard extension.
1.
Attach the upper thrust washer (B)
to the output shaft.
2.
Turn the shaft with the blade until one of the
holes in the upper thrust washer is aligned with
the corresponding hole in the upper support cup.
3.
Insert the locking pin (A) into the hole to lock
the shaft.
4.
Place the blade (C), the lower thrust washer
(D) and support cup (E) onto the output shaft.
5.
Fit the nut (F). The nut must be tightened to a
torque of 35 - 50 Nm. Use the socket wrench
from the tool kit.
6.
Hold the handle of the wrench as close to the
blade guard as possible. Tighten the nut by
turning the wrench in the opposite direction to
the direction of rotation. (
NOTE
: Left-hand thread)
7.
Remove the locking pin after the entire
installation process has been completed.
Fitting the trimmer head
Fit the correct trimmer guard for the trimmer head in
question.
NOTE:
Remember to fit the guard extension.
1.
Attach the upper thrust washer (B)
to the output shaft.
2.
Turn the shaft with the blade until one
of the holes in the upper thrust washer
is aligned with the corresponding hole
in the upper support cup (C).
3.
Insert the locking pin (A) into the hole
to lock the shaft.
4.
Screw on the trimmer head (D) in the
opposite direction to the direction of rotation.
5.
Follow the instructions in reverse order to
dismantle.
Adjusting the brush cutter’s working height
1.
Adjust the shoulder strap so the blade is parallel to the ground.
2.
Let the blade rest gently against the ground.
3.
Adjust the suspension ring’s position so the brush cutter is correctly balanced.
Tighten the side straps so the weight is evenly distributed across both shoulders.
