The engine does not
run smoothly.
Open choke.
Set the choke lever in fully closed
position.
Blocked fuel line, or old fuel.
Clean the fuel line and fill the tank with
fresh petrol.
Water or dirt in the fuel system.

Too little oil.
Check and top up if necessary.
Carburettor not properly adjusted.

Defective spark plug.
Clean, adjust the spark gap, or replace
the spark plug (see engine manual).
The engine overheats.
Carburettor not properly adjusted.

Low power.
Loose spark plug lead.
Put the spark plug lead firmly on the
spark plug.
Ventilation hole in filler cap clogged.
Clear the ventilation hole.
Heavy vibration.
Loose parts or damaged auger.
Switch off the engine immediately,
remove the ignition key, and wait until
all moving parts have stopped. Check
for any damage. Tighten all screw
unions. Repair if necessary. Contact an
authorised service centre if the problem
persists.
Forward drive does not
work.
Loose or damaged drive belt.
Replace the belt.
The auger does not
stop when the auger
lever is released.
Auger lever wire incorrectly adjusted.
Adjust the auger lever wire.
The snowblower does
not throw snow.
Ejector chute blocked.
Switch off the engine immediately,
remove the ignition key, and wait
until all moving parts have stopped.
Clear the ejector chute with the
clearing tool or a stick.
One or more shear pins have sheared off. Replace shear pins.
Foreign object blocking the auger.
Switch off the engine immediately and
remove the ignition key. Remove the
foreign object from the auger.
Auger lever wire adjusted incorrectly.
Adjust the auger lever wire.
Auger drive belt loose or damaged.
Replace the belt.
