• Take the following precautions to
minimise the risks of exposure to
vibrations and/or noise:
– Only use the product in accordance
with these instructions.
– Check that the product is in good
condition.
– Use accessories in good condition,
and which are suitable for the
purpose.
– Keep a firm grip on the handles/
grips.
– Maintain and lubricate the product in
accordance with these instructions.
WARNING!
• Vibration levels can deviate from the
declared value, depending on how the
product is used. Suitable precautions for
users must be based on the actual
conditions, taking into account all parts
of the operating cycle, such as the time
when the tool is switched off and the
idling time, in addition to the time when
the power switch is pressed.
• The given values are measured actual
noise levels, which are not necessarily
safe to work in.
• Even if there is a link between the
specified noise level and experienced
noise level, it is not possible on this
basis to draw any reliable conclusions
concerning the need for safety
measures. Several other factors affect
exposure to noise in each individual
case, for example the acoustics in the
work premises and any other sources
of noise, such as other machines or
processes, in the premises.
The permitted limiting values for noise
levels may also vary between different
countries. It is incumbent on the user to
assess any risks.
against the engine to prevent
unintentional starting.
• Check that all screw unions are properly
tightened at regular intervals. Retighten if
necessary. Check the product at regular
intervals for damage.
• Do not change the speed governor setting
and do not over rev the engine. The speed
governor controls the maximum
permitted engine speed.
• Shave plates and runners wear out in
time. Check all components regularly and
replace if necessary. Only use parts and
accessories recommended by the
manufacturer, otherwise there is a risk of
personal injury and/or material damage.
• Regularly check that all the control levers
can be moved in both directions and
automatically return to the neutral position
when released. Adjust, if necessary, in
accordance with these instructions.
• The safety and warning labels on the tool
must be intact and legible. Replace them
immediately if necessary.
• Observe applicable laws and regulations
relating to fuel, oil, etc.
• Before putting the product away allow it
to run for a few minutes to feed out all the
snow. Otherwise the snow can freeze to
ice and lock the auger.
WARNING!
Never allow children, or persons who are
unfamiliar with the machine and these
instructions, to use it.
REDUCTION OF NOISE AND
VIBRATIONS
• Plan the work so that exposure to heavy
vibrations is spread over a longer period.
• To reduce noise and vibrations when in
use, limit the time the tool is in use, and
use low-power/vibration mode and
suitable safety equipment.
