3. Carefully fill the tank with unleaded

PREPARATIONS
Always check before use that the snowblower
is correctly assembled and adjusted according
to these instructions and that no parts are
missing or damaged.
IMPORTANT:
• Never put unnecessary strain on the
snowblower – risk of material damage.
• Parts of the snowblower can freeze solid
at very low temperatures. Never start the
snowblower if any parts have frozen solid.
If any parts freeze during use, switch off
the snowblower and check the parts.
Thaw any frozen parts before starting the
snowblower again. Never force any parts
or controls that have frozen. Never
attempt to thaw a frozen part of the
snowblower with a naked flame.
STARTING THE ENGINE
NOTE:
• Check that the auger lever and the drive
lever are in the neutral position
(upwards) before starting the engine.
• Starting the engine outdoors.
• Check the oil level before starting.
1. Insert the safety key.
2. Set the throttle lever in the high revs
position.
3. Close the choke if the engine is cold.
4. If the engine is cold, press the primer
pump 3–5 times. If the engine is warm,
press the primer pump 1 time.
5. To start the engine, pull the starter cord
in the ejector and screw in clockwise.
USE
FILLING WITH OIL
The engine is supplied without oil. Fill with the
correct amount and quality of engine oil before
use. For general applications, use 4-stroke
5W-30 oil.
1. Place the snowblower on a level surface.
2. Unscrew the dipstick.
FIG. 5
3. Pour oil in slowly to avoid overfilling.
4. Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth. Insert
the oil dipstick again without screwing it
in, pull out and check the oil level.
5. Slowly pour in more oil and repeat step
4 until the oil level reaches the upper
marking on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
6. Check for any oil leakage. Screw the
dipstick firmly in place.
REFILLING FUEL
IMPORTANT:
• Use unleaded petrol with a rating of at
least 87 octane.
• Never use old, contaminated fuel or fuel
mixed with oil.
• Petrol ages and old petrol can make it
difficult to start the engine. Do not store
the snowblower for long periods with
fuel in the carburettor or tank.
• Avoid getting water and debris in the
fuel tank.
• Do not fill the fuel tank to the top. Fuel
expands when in use and can overflow,
even if the fuel cap is closed.
1. Place the snowblower on a level surface.
2. Remove the fuel cap.
