TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom

Possible cause

Proposed action

The pneumatic tool
does not strike, or is
powerless.

Pistons lacking oil in the
housing have rusted.

•

Press in the piston through the tool
holder with a striking pin.

•

Apply a little special oil in the connecting
hose and in the tool holder.

•

Run the machine briefly without a tool.

•

Repeat this procedure a few times.

Dirt has got in through the
air hose

Repairs must be carried out by an authorised
service centre.

Too much oil or water in the
driver

Run the machine briefly without a tool.

Excessive pressure

Lubricate the tool holder and reduce the
contact pressure.

The extraction force for the
air source is too low.

Use an air source with a higher extraction
force.

The insertion tool is no
longer locked in the tool
holder, or is loose.
