14.4. Drum
cleaning
If washing residue has accumulated in the drum, this can cause odours to develop.
Run the programme without a load.
Use commercial washing machine cleaner and observe the manufacturer’s
instructions.
For example, set the programme selector to the drum cleaning programme,

.
Press the
button (9).
The programme starts.
15. Longer periods without use
Turn the programme selector to the
position (8) to switch off the appliance.
Pull the mains plug (15) out of the mains socket.
Turn the water supply off.
Allow the residual water to drain out of the appliance and the hoses (see also
“14.1. Cleaning the pump filter” on page 89).
Leave the washing machine door open slightly to prevent potential odours from
forming and preserve the seal.
16. Transporting the appliance
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
The appliance is heavy. There is a risk of injury from the
strain of lifting the appliance.
Seek the assistance of at least one other person in
order to move the appliance.
Unplug the mains plug and disconnect the water supply.
Check whether the door and detergent compartment are closed.
Disconnect the inlet and drain hose from the domestic connection.
Allow the residual water to drain out of the appliance and the hoses (see also
“14.1. Cleaning the pump filter” on page 89).
Remove the 4 cover caps and engage the 4 transit bolts (see also “9.1. Removing
the transit bolts” on page 72, proceed in reverse order).
Always transport the appliance vertically, wherever possible.
