You can connect a printer or a device such as a scanner to this
25-pin parallel interface.
The parallel interface supports Standard EPP (Enhanced Parallel
Port) and ECP (Extended Capabilities Port).

Serial COM port

Diagram reference:

The 9-pin serial interface is used as the port for serial devices
such as modems, card readers or mice. The interfaces are

addressed as

COM1

COM2

and are FIFO 16550-compatible. To

use these ports it is necessary, as standard, to have a so-called

null-modem cable

which is usually supplied with the device to

be connected.
