Recording mode
You can use the pre-set Recording modes for particular recording
situations or subjects. You will save a manual setting through this.
The selected mode (with the exception of the Speech Recording
mode) will be added at the front position in the Function menu in ‘My
Mode’, after you have made your selection.
The following Recording modes are available:
Symbol Setting
Explanation
Auto
Automatic
For unpractised photographers.
All settings will be established by the
camera automatically.
P
Programme
The camera will establish the suitable
recording settings for the shutter time
and the aperture value automatically.
M
Manual exposure
You will be able to set the aperture
value and the aperture closing time
manually.
Certain settings (e.g. Flash, Macro) cannot be changed, because they
are pre-set for the particular type of the recording, in the case of the
following special types of recording.
