First Steps
Switching on the camera
Press the ON/OFF button for 1 to 2 seconds to turn on the
camera.
The lens will move out, the operating display will shine green and the
display will switch on. The camera will be in the Recording mode.
Check that the battery is inserted correctly and that it is charged,
if the camera does not switch on.
Switching off the camera
Hold the ON/OFF button held down for rather longer, to switch
off the camera.
Setting the language and the date/time
You should set the required menu language and the current date and
time, before you use the camera for the first time. Both settings are
made in the ‘Settings’ menu:
Press the
button when the camera is switched on, to open the
menus.
Select the ‘Settings’ menu with the or the button.
