The enlarged image section is enlarged by interpolation in the
case of the digital zoom; the picture quality can suffer somewhat
because of this.
Setting the Focussing mode
You can define the type of focussing when you are recording a photo
or a video, with this function.
Press the Macro button repeatedly, until the symbol of the
required focussing mode is displayed below left in the LCD.
Your camera offers four different focussing modes:
Normal
The focussing range begins at 40 cm in the case of normal focus. No
symbol will be displayed if the camera has been set to the Normal
mode.
Macro
This mode is particularly suitable for close recordings. You will be able
to capture details and to set the subject as sharp, even at a small
distance, by means of a fixed focus in this mode.
PF Multi-focus
The camera will set every subject as sharp if multi-focus is active.
INF Infinite
The camera will focus on particularly distant subjects in the case of the
Infinite setting.
