8.3 Placing the cuff on the upper arm

Make sure that the upper arm cuff fits your upper arm circumference.

Wrap the upper arm cuff as shown around the upper arm, about 2-3 cm
above the elbow. Place the cuff directly on the skin, as clothing may cause
weak pulse and result in measurement errors.

Constricting the upper arm, caused by rolling up a sleeve, can also lead to
measurement errors.
4.
Wrap the upper-arm cuff so that it is comfortable and not too tight. Place
the arm on the table (palm facing upward) so the cuff is at the same level
as the heart. Ensure that the hose is not kinked.
