1.
The Settings page includes a PDF version of the User Manual
(Figure 9-1)
. It has been embedded as an
easy resource to become more familiar with your system. Use the embedded PDF viewer to browse, print,
save, or search the User Manual.
Recording Storage
1. Default Storage Location
is used to select a drive path for storage of all videos and still images
(Figure 9-2)
.
This drive will always be used unless a Remote Storage location is designated
(see item #2 below)
and an
external drive is connected.
NOTE: The default setting is “D:\” and should
NEVER be changed unless instructed to do so by a Med
X Change Technician for trouble shooting purposes.
2. Remote Storage Location
is used to select an alternate drive path for storage of all videos and still images
onto an external, removable hard drive only. To use this feature, the external drive that will be used must first
be connected to the HDMD® system per the drive manufacturer’s instructions. Once the HDMD® system
recognizes the new drive, it will assign it drive letter “F:\”. Type “F:\”
(no quotes)
into the Remote Storage
Location field to designate this as your preferred remote storage location. This becomes the default location
for your HDMD system to record to only when remote storage is enabled. To record to the HDMD® internal
hard drive again, you must uncheck remote storage.
Note: When recording HD Video to a Remote Storage Location, do not use a USB Flash drive. An
external hard drive is needed because of bandwidth requirements.
3. Archive Storage Location
is used to select a drive path to store archived files. This is normally a network
drive path to a remote server which stores the files and backs them up regularly. To use Archive Storage
Location, check the box labeled Enable Archiving. This feature will create a copy of each file on the internal
drive and archive location.
