9. Maintenance

To Check the Hydraulic Oil Level

Refer to Figure 9.14

Figure 9.14- Checking Hydraulic Oil Level

To Add Hydraulic Oil

Refer to Figure 9.13. Make sure a clean container and clean, new oil is used.

PROCEDURE

Stop the engine and unscrew the dipstick/breather and remove from the tank.

Wipe all traces of oil from the dipstick with clean paper and refit the dipstick.

Remove the dipstick again and check the level of the oil.

Never allow the oil level to go below the minimum mark - Min. (2) or above the maximum
mark - Max (1).

Add the correct grade of oil as required.

Check the level and replace the filler breather.

PROCEDURE

Unscrew the dipstick/breather.

Add oil as required.

Use the dipstick/breather to check the level.

Continue adding oil until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick.

Replace the dipstick/breather.

Wipe up any spilt oil.
