4. SAFETY
The operator must read the information in this document very carefully, paying particular attention to
the safety precautions listed in this chapter.

4.1.
G
ENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
FORBIDDEN
Do not remove or tamper with the protections and the safety devices installed on the machine. Follow
the safety instructions in Section 2 paragraph 3 (ADJUSTMENTS AND TOOLING) and Section 2
paragraph 4 (MAINTENANCE AND MECHANICAL REPAIRS)
In the event of flooding, do not touch the machine before having disconnected the power supply and
cleared the water in the area.
The machine is solely intended to be used by skilled and specifically informed and trained personnel
(this document must also be read).
In order to allow the emergency stops to be easily reached, do not leave objects or other material in
front of them.
It is strictly forbidden to climb on the machine. If routine and special maintenance must be performed
on the upper part of the machine, or above it, it is mandatory to use safety devices and structures
(scaffolding, ladders, safety ropes, etc.) as well as personal protective equipment, in accordance with
the safety standards in the workplace.
REQUIREMENT
Make sure that nobody is in the danger zones before starting the machine.
All operators must receive specific instructions on machine use and maintenance. This document
must be used as part of the training.
The head of department must monitor that the safety procedures in this document are applied properly
by means of constant checks and verifications.
Keep the machine orderly and clean by following the steps described in Section 2 Paragraph 4.5
(Description of routine maintenance).
Provide appropriate containers to store materials used for cleaning and maintenance.
Wear the required personal protective equipment.
Besides the instructions in this document, the user is obliged to comply with current regulations
regarding safety and accident prevention applied in the workplace.
In case of a malfunction, suspected failure, incorrect movements or abnormal noises, immediately
stop the machine and promptly inform the appointed manager
When a fire is noted (even if small), alarm must be given immediately and the specialist teams must
intervene to extinguish it.
During normal operation, the door of the electrical panel must always be kept locked and the keys
must be handed over to an appointed manager.
Operations with the machine in manual mode should always be carried out with all personnel out of
the protected space.
Before setting the machine back to automatic mode, the temporarily suspended safety functions must
be reset to the fully functional mode.
