Installation
Overview
The 1U Server is the recommended hardware platform for storage network
management software, Enterprise Fabric Connectivity Manager (EFCM). The
latest version of EFCM (or the OEM version) is shipped pre-loaded on the 1U
Server, which exceeds the minimum recommended hardware platform for
EFCM.
Key features include:
• RoHS Compliance
• Much faster processor for increased speed when managing large fabric
deployments
• Enterprise Class RAID 1 250Gb SATA II Hard Drives
• Increased, high speed, standard memory (2GB) for large or multiple fabric
deployments
• An integrated universal modem can be used to support call home
applications (some configurations may use an external modem instead)
• An integrated backup system featuring an internal CD/RW-DVD
• Dual integrated Ethernet interfaces for gateway functions between SAN
management network and other corporate networks
• Space-saving 1U (4.3 cm or 1.75 inches) design optimizes valuable cabinet
and data center floor space
NOTE:
To access server functions, an optional Keyboard Video Monitor (KVM) device
is required as the server does not provide a keyboard or monitor.
