Safety instructions
•
The device is designed in accordance with protection class 2 (PA-5000 and PA-8000 models)
and protection class 1 (PA-12000 model). Only use a correct mains socket (230V~/50Hz) of
the public supply system as a source of power.
•
Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands. There is risk of a fatal electric shock.
•
If the power line is damaged, do not touch it. First of all, cut off the power supply to the relevant
mains socket (e.g. via the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug carefully out of the mains
socket. Do not operate the device any more. Take it to a specialist workshop.
•
When installing the device, make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges.
•
This device is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children do not under-
stand how dangerous electrical devices can be.
•
Never position any containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vases or plants, in the direct
vicinity of the product. Liquids could seep into the interior of the housing and in doing so impair
the electrical safety of the device. Apart from that, there is a great risk of a fire or a fatal elec-
tric shock. In such a case, cut off the power supply to the relevant mains socket (e.g. via the cir-
cuit breaker) and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket. Remove all cables from the
device. The product may not be operated any longer. Take it to a specialist workshop.
•
Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or spraying water, strong vibration or
heavy mechanical stress.
•
Do not place open sources of fire, such as burning candles, on or right next to the device.
•
Contact a specialist if you have any doubt about how the device operates, its safety or how to
connect it.
•
Never leave the device on without supervision.
•
Do not use the device in a tropical climate.
•
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may be dangerous for children to play
with.
•
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to
this device.
•
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s Liability Insur-
ance Association for electrical systems and operating materials are to be observed.
•
