NOTE:
While being under pressure the instrument cannot be switched off or go to standby
mode. In this case the user is prompted to first decompress the instrument.
FIRST STARTUP: CALIBRATION VALIDITY SEAL

The instrument comes factory calibrated
–
Upon first start of the instrument the calibration interval must be activated by unlocking
the calibration validity seal on the instrument screen
–
From now on, the calibration validity counts down from 12 months and a warning will be
displayed on the screen 1 month before calibration validity ends
CLEANING AND DECONTAMINATION
NOTE:
Only perform disinfection when the instrument is at rest. Avoid spray disinfection.
Make sure that there is no remaining disinfectant upon starting the instrument.
Housing
Wipe disinfect with one of the following active ingredients:
Perforated lid / dust cover / pressure connection tube / tri-clamp and gasket

Steam sterilization (autoclaving) at 134°C for 5 mins or 121°C for 20 mins
–
Wipe disinfect with 70% Ethanol (v/v) or 70% (v/v) IPA

PERFORM A SAMPLING
The instrument shall only be operated by trained, qualified and authorized personnel. Read
all instructions carefully before operating the instrument. Refer to user manual chapter
3
«Operation».
NOTE:
It is advised to work with safety goggles and ear protection when handling pressur-
ized gases. Maximum pressure range: 1.2-7 bar absolute (exact range depends on gas type
and flow mode see user manual chapter

«Technical specifications»). Work in a big and
properly ventilated room or use an optional gas exhaust tube.

Use the pressure connection tube supplied with the instrument to connect the 3/8 inch
connector (female) to your gas supply (equipped with a male 3/8 inch connector)

Fix the 34mm tri-clamp of the pressure connection tube to the sampling head and make
sure the connection is tight.

Open the sampling head (turn counter-clockwise)
–
Insert a 90mm nutrient plate aseptically, remove its lid and close the sampling head
(turn clockwise)

Select the sampling parameters of your choice. This pre-selection can be configured
