SIPHON BREAK INSTALLATION
If a 91 cm (36 in.) minimum standpipe is not available, or for floor drain installation and in cases where a tight
connection is made between the drain hose and drain (standpipe, etc.) the 12001586 siphon break accessory
is required.
To install siphon break:
1. Cut the corrugated drain hose at the center of the larger straight section position B.
2. Position a hose clamp onto the cut end of the drain hose leading to the
machine pump. Place the mounting clamp onto the other cut end of the
drain hose.
3. Place the rubber adapters inside the cut ends of the drain hose.
4. Position the siphon assembly into the rubber adapters and tighten the hose
clamp. (The closed end of the siphon break must point up.)

5. Mount the siphon assembly and drain hose to the cabinet with a screw
through the mounting clamp. Attach to the hole provided at the upper
left rear panel of the cabinet.
6. Place the drain hose into the drain facility. If the drain hose will not
reach, the 12001585 drain hose extension kit is required.

COLD WEATHER STORAGE
The following precautions should be taken if a washer is to be stored, after use, where it would be subject to
freezing conditions.
1. Turn off the water supply, and remove the inlet hoses.
2. Select a fill cycle and energize the water valve by selecting a warm water setting. A few seconds of fill is
sufficient.
3. Disconnect from electrical supply.
4. Lower the drain hose to floor level and tilt washer backwards to remove water from the drain hose and
pump.
