This can be prevented by objects, among other things, which block the operating
lever or when pastries that are too large are inserted in the toasting compart-
ments.

If something impairs the operation of the unit, it will automatically deactivate.
Disconnect the mains plug from the socket and allow the unit to cool off. Then re-
move anything jammed in the toasting compartment by moving the operating lever
up and down a few times.

Do not tamper with the device by inserting knives, forks or other metallic objects
in the toasting compartments.
❐
Do not allow pieces of clothing such as clothes, scarves, ties, and long hair to hang
into or over the toasting compartments.
❐
Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐
Remove the mains plug from the socket,
–
if you do not use the device for a prolonged period of time,
–
if a fault occurs during operation,
–
if you remove the crumb tray,
–
before
a
storm,
–
before you clean it.

If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but
always on the plug.

Never submerge the unit in water or other liquids! Ensure that the unit, cord or
plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in water,
immediately disconnect the power supply.

Never touch the unit, the cord or the plug with wet hands.
Cleaning

Before cleaning, always disconnect the mains plug and let the device cool off.

Never submerge the device, the mains cord, and the plug in water.
❐
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. Do not use any metallic
objects.

The crumb tray is not suitable for the dishwasher.
❐
Do not spray any cleaners directly on the toaster.
Warranty provisions
Any defects caused by improper use, damage,or attempts at repair by third parties are excluded
from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear of the individual components.
