Troubleshooting
In the event the unit is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself.
In the event of damage, contact the customer service (see section “Customer Service”).
Please check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself.
Problem
Potential Cause/Solution
The toast is too dark.
Set the darkness lower.
The toast is jammed in the
toaster.
Disconnect the mains plug and allow the toaster to cool off.
Move the operating lever up and down a few times in order
to loosen any jammed bread.
Large amounts of smoke are
emitted.
• The crumb tray is likely full. Disconnect the mains plug
and allow the toaster to cool off. Clean out the crumb
tray.
• The toast is too thick. Disconnect the mains plug and
allow the toaster to cool off. Move the operating lever
up and down a few times in order to remove the bread.
Device isn‘t working.
Ensure that the plug has been properly inserted in the
socket.
The lever does not lock into
place.
The lever can only lock into place if the device has been
connected to a power supply. Ensure that the plug has been
properly inserted in the socket.
Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally-
friendly manner and make it available for the recyclable material collection-service.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly manner when you decide to
part with it. The device does not belong in the household waste. Dispose of it at a
recycling centre for old electrical and electronic appliances.
