OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Installing Or Removing Battery Pack
1 . Your new battery pack is not fully charged . You may need to
charge before use .
2 . Make sure the forward/reverse lever is in the neutral position
when installing or removing a battery .
3 . To remove a battery, depress the front tab and pull the battery
forward and the tool in the opposite direction .
4 . To install a battery align the tool with the battery, push forward
until click is heard indicating full installment .
How to use MCL2040LB with 20V

BRUSHLESS Matco tools will function normally when using the
MCL2040LB battery . Since the connection styles are different it is
required to utilize the adapter MCL20BADP . Connect the adapter to
the BRUSHLESS tool then slide the MCL2040LB battery in place until
a click is heard and the release buttons locks into place .
FAQ
Question:
Can I use the adapter (MCL20BADP) connected to the
MCL2040LB battery and charge it on the MCLCHRG6?
Answer:
No . The adapter does not have the proper circuitry to
allow it to be used to charge the battery . To charge the MCL2040LB
remove the adapter and utilize the MCLCHRG5 or MCL1840CHRG .
Installing Nose Piece:
1 . Take mini nut wrench and securely place over nose piece . Twist .
2 . Replace nose piece .
3 . Secure nose piece with nut wrench .
Jaw Removal And Reassembly Without Jaw Assembly Jig
1 . To replace jaw pieces, remove nose cover by turning counterclockwise with 1 1/16

2 . Jaws will be in the jaw case once housings are removed . Light tap to the jaw case is needed for jaw pieces to be released .
3 . To reinstall Jaws “without using JAW ASSEMBLY JIG”, place finger over the hole of the jaw housing,
drop the 3 jaws into the tapered area one at a time .
4 . Make sure all 3 jaws are even on the bottom of the housing .
5 . Reinstall the plastic jaw case by lining up the grooves with the jaws .
6 . Reinstall jaw housing onto the rivet tool .
7 . Reinstall nose cover to secure the area for use .
