3. Slide the extension table to the desired width.
4. NOTE: Use the scale on the extension rail when a specific width is desired.
5. Once the extension table is set to the desired width, relock the lever by
pulling the lever forward.
ALIGNING THE BLADE TO THE MITRE GAUGE GROOVE (See Fig. 20, 21)
WARNING!
The blade must be square so that the wood does not bind, re-
sulting in kickback. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
Do not loosen any screws for this adjustment until you have checked with a
square and made test cuts to be sure adjustments are necessary. Once the
screws are loosened, these items must be reset.
Unplug the saw.
1. Raise the blade all the way by
turning the Height/bevel-adjusting
hand wheel.
2. Place a mark beside one of the
blade teeth at the front of the blade.
Place the body of a combination
square against the mitre gauge
groove, and measure the distance
from the blade tooth to
the right mitre gauge groove, as shown in Fig. 20.
3. Turn the blade so that the marked
tooth is at the back.
4. Move the combination square to the
rear, and measure the distance from
the blade tooth to the right mitre
gauge groove again. If the distances
are the same, the blade and the
mitre gauge groove are parallel.
If the distances are different:
Loosen adjusting bolts (1) and (3).
NOTE: The adjusting bolts are located under the saw table at the front of the
saw, using the included 15/64” (6 mm) hex key.
Turn adjusting bolt (2) left or right until the blade is square,Securely retighten
adjusting bolts (1) and (3).
